Our firm, Vila- Salbanyà – Martí , Advocats Associats, SCP, is the current name of the firm founded in 1980 by Manel Vila Castells, which has been providing legal services to companies, individuals and Public Administrations since then.
In the area of Private Law, we are able to offer comprehensive national and international legal advice to our clients. Apart from the areas of expertise in our firm, we also collaborate and act in coordination with high-level professionals. When the contracted services require actions abroad, we hire lawyers that can act and practice abroad and collaborate with them.
We provide our services to a wide variety of companies that operate in diverse areas and sectors, notwithstanding, we highlight our extensive experience in providing legal services to companies in the tourism sector, ranging from Travel Agencies, wholesalers and retailers to hotel chains which are known nationally and internationally.
For over 30 years, our firm provides legal advice and services to Grup Serhs, which is composed of over 55 operating companies in seven business divisions (Tourism and Travel, Distribution and Logistics, Food and Projects, Hotels, Services, Real Estate and International). Furthermore, our founding partner, Mr. Manel Vila Castells, is the general counsellor of the Board of Directors of Serhs Grup, SA, the parent company, and its Executive Board.
Our firm specialized in Public Law from the beginning, particularly in Local Public Law, Criminal Law, Public Administration Pecuniary Liability and, especially, Urban Planning Law. We are also external legal advisers of several city councils, municipal corporations and intra-municipal organizations. From 1983, we are external legal counsellors of Calella City Council and we are responsible for their legal defence under all kinds of administrative and contentious-administrative appeals.
Mr. Jordi Salbanyà Benet, Director of the Public Law Area in the firm, is Secretary of the Board of Directors and legal adviser of several municipal corporations in Calella, such as Gestió Viaria, SL, Ràdio Calella Televisió, SL and Fundació Hàbitat Solidari Calella.
Since 1999, we provide legal advice to Sant Pere de Torelló City Council with regards to urban planning regulations, public administration pecuniary liability and contracts. Also, since 2009 we provide legal advice to Caldes d’Estrac City Council. Our firm also provides legal advice to Arenys de Mar, Hostalric, Fogars de la Selva, Seva and Tagamanent City Councils on urban planning regulations and is responsible for their legal defence before contentious-administrative Courts.
Under request of the Associació Catalana de Municipis (ACM ), we have also provided legal advice and are responsible for their defence before court for more than 100 city Councils associated with that organization.
Occasionally, we have acted in defence of the interests of the Consell Comarcal del Maresme and Canet de Mar, Pineda de Mar, Sant Pol de Mar, Tordera, Gurb, El Brull, Les Borges Blanques and Lles City Councils, among others.
Finally, we have participated in the partial urban planning reports draft and public and private urban planning compensation projects draft in Calella, Begur, Tordera, Cabrils, Sant Cebrià de Vallalta, Pineda de Mar, Malgrat de Mar, Torredembarra, Vilafant, Arenys de Mar, Sant Pere de Torelló and Barcelona, among others. We have also participated in the Municipal Urban Planning Projects draft in Calella and Sant Pere de Torelló. Occasionally, we have also provided legal advice to Arenys de Mar, Fogars de la Selva, Tagamanent and Hostalric City Councils with regards to Municipal Urban Planning Projects draft.
